Welcome to Moscow Youth Model United Nations

Moscow Model United Nations club originally started in 1995, when a group of several students from school 1415 led by Marina Bolshakova went to Heidelberg to explore new MUN horizons. Since then our population and geography have expanded significantly. We have spread out contagious influence over other Moscow schools and can currently boast of more than a hundred alumni, the first having already graduated from universities and working for several years.

Our founding fathers (and even more so mothers) are Marina Bolshakova and Anya Evstropova who have managed to organize and bring up students who started to care about what is happening around them and in the world.

Our geography goes from Moscow to Ivanovo and St.Petersburg in Russia, and then westward to the Hague, Heidelberg, Geneva, London, Paris and Athens. We have friends among Ivanono and St.Petersburg Model United Nations groups, Anglo-American school of Moscow and Deutsche Schule Moskau, students of MGIMO, Higher School of Economics and the Finance Academy. We will be delighted to have more!

What do we do? We get together, pretend to be serious and study parliamentary procedure, public speaking, international politics, writing skills. Then we pretend to be diplomats and travel to Russian and international conferences. And then we are just ourselves, we have fun and relax.

We meet on weekends on VDNKh and will be happy to see you there.
